Atlantic Bridge: it does not take gazillions to be a player
ABVen a.k.a. Atlantic Bridge Ventures is a medium sized first time fund that had a hell of a time fundraising. The fact that they succeeded at all in closing a first time fund is a testament to their quality and determination in a tough market.
Now they have come out with a headline grabbing deal with the £265M lead role on the acquisition of LogicaCMG’s Telecoms Product business, leading a syndicate that includs Dermott Desmond. Larry Quinn, former CEO of Logica Mobile, is The Player who made this happen. Story courtesy of PEHub.
I really rate Kevin Dillon who led the interesting investment in Nero and I am not surprised to see them come out with these types of operations. I hope it goes well on their way to Fund II.
